New Start

Dear Readers,

It seems I have been on a year long hiatus. I fell a little bit out of love with this blog, and I was attempting to finish my university degree too.
But, now im fresh out of uni and with no place to go, I have decided to get back into this whole thing. With a bit of a change. As you can see, MEOW has gone, I thought it was time for something a little more grown up and whilst im thinking of the perfect title, WHITE BOX will have to do. Also, my fashion habits have long died and I struggle to keep interested anymore. So, this will now be more of a lifestyle blog, with a bit of health and beauty thrown in for good measure. I do hope you will enjoy it just as much as you did before.

Terrible blogger and forever sorry

Lush: Cosmetic Lad Review

So I think it's obvious that I LOVE LUSH. I wondered in there a few weeks ago looking for a face creme to replace my old, harsh soap and glory one. And two of the staff recommended Cosmetic Lad. Obviously, from the name it's clear it's meant for guys. But it's slightly thicker then the other creams which is great for my skin, and contains lavender which really evens out skin tone. The best thing is, is that they give you a small sample pot, this lasted me about three days, so I could get a feel of how it worked with my skin. It makes my skin feel so soft, without being greasy in the slightest. I cant recommend it enough. I'd say my skin wasnt particularly bad, but in winter I suffer from dry skin and get small rashes at the top of my cheekbones where the cold air hits them so hopefully this will help with all of that! GO AND BUY IT. It might be a little pricey, being at around £11 pounds for a tub, but it's all natural and not tested on animals. So you cant complain. And you dont even need a lot. A little goes a long way.

Check Mate...

Okay, I give up, it's clearer then daylight that Checks are 'in.'  I don't have a lot to say about them apart from, they generally give off an air of 'Clueless' style or head towards the more Gothic side of style. I find that they are hard to pull off, and me being me wouldn't dare to attempt it. HOWEVER, I did find a beautiful skirt in Zara that I wanted to show you, but unfortunately it is no longer on their site... I'm hoping i'll still find it in store at some point a it was very subtle. But here are some checks to keep you going for now.

P.s. Im not going to lie, my interest in fashion is dying, I wont stop posting about it, I promise, although there might be a few other subject posts in the future!

I Like Coat Coats....

Okay, it doesn't have quite the same ring to it as 'Short Shorts' but I really do love coats...
Surprisingly, i've really enjoyed summer this year, I say surprisingly because I always find my self waiting for it to get cold again so I can layer up. I like being cosy when it's wet out and not feeling guilty for not seising the day! And coats, oh coats, they can be big and cosy or tailored and chic and they are without a doubt, the ultimate investment piece. I have a bad habit of getting a new one each year, but seeing as I have quite a large collection now... I think i'll take a step back this year and give everyone else a chance. Here are some of my favourites at the moment.

Croatia We Love You

Sorry for the lack of posts, but iv'e been working hard and living it up in Croatia for the past week.
I went with a few friends and missing it already.

Croatia is an amazing little place that doesn't seem to get enough attention, but I think thats a good thing. We arrived in time to spend the whole first day wondering around, soaking up the sun and having a few drinks, until we retired to our hostel to catch up on sleep. Yes, we stayed in a hostel. But do not fret, it was cheap, friendly and surprisingly great. We stayed at The Old Town Hostel. Which is right in the centre of split. Close to everything fun, and only a short walk from the beach each morning.  The staff here were lovely, and a little bit crazy, but it made you feel at home. And if you ever need any information about where to go or what to do then they know the lot.

The place it's self lived up to my expectations. It was quaint, pretty and there was enough to keep you entertained. All for a ridiculously cheap price. For one week, I took £150 and then an extra £50 for a day on a boat. This was more then enough, the food here is lovely and cheaper then anywhere i've been before ( i'm sure you could spend less, but we ate an awful lot of ice cream ).  The boat trip, oh the boat trip. It was incredible, we sailed on a catamaran to some different islands around split and was aloud to get off and swim in the blue clear water. It's definitely inspired me to do Yacht Week next year. So who's going to be my crew?

Holiday Packing

As a way to motivate myself into blogging ( I am lacking in ideas ) I said to myself that once I hit 90 followers, ill put up another post. Well here we are, and the only thing on my mind at the moment is my up coming holiday to croatia. I think I might have already done a similar post. But this one is about all the little things I am taking with me. And will hopefully give you a few ideas on what to pack.
Im only going for a week, so I decided to not buy any luggage and just take hand luggage (risky) But seeing as I always over pack and rarely wear even half of the things I take with me, im thinking this could be a good thing.
In keeping with the luggage allowance, ill be taking a bag around the size of a regular Eastpak.

First and formost on the packing list is SUNCREAM.
I am terrible for not using this as much as I should, but when I go on holiday I do make an effort to protect my skin.
Here are a few mini's that you can add to your hand luggage:
I did notice that they dont do any small carry on after suns, so maybe bribe on of your friends to take it in theres! These bottles look small but they last ages!

So I mentioned in a few other posts that my friends and I were going to run the Race for Life. Yesterday was the big race day and we couldn't have been dreading the heat anymore! However, the atmosphere was wonderful and there were a hell of a lot of people out in force to show their support for Cancer Research.
We all managed to run the race in less then 38 minutes, and im so proud of everyone. So far we have raised an amazing £402 pounds, BUT we still have a month left to collect that last £100 pounds to reach 500! So thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and please, if you haven't, do!
We had a great day and if you ever get the chance to do something for such a good cause, I recommend it. Because im 100% sure you wont be doing else that worth while on that day!

Im afraid I didn't wear pink... I dont have anything pink!
